Edmonton weather: Set the deck for sun, then flurries mid-week

A look at Sunday’s Edmonton weather from Environment Canada.
It’s -3 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station early Sunday morning with 4 km/h winds out of the west, southwest and a wind chill of minus 4.
Spring and winter are still having a bit of a tussle. Our mornings still include wind chills. Gusts are ever blowing. Whatever Sunday sun we have will soon be shrouded in cloud. The high will be 7 C but it’s kind of gnarly.
And then suddenly Monday and Tuesday, it really feels like spring in 11 C sunshine. You’re grilling, you’re eyeing your road bike, you’re thinking about planting. Feeling superior in a newly washed car. Are we there yet?
No. This is sprinter. Keep shovels and scrapers on hand. Keep the windshield washer fluid topped up. Flurries will rain on our sunshine parade starting mid-week. Spring’s still coming around the mountain.
