Georgia Amoore top 5 games from time with Kentucky women’s basketball ahead of WNBA draft

Georgia Amoore only played in Lexington for one season, but her spectacular play forever cemented her legacy at Kentucky.
The All-American guard led the team in scoring with 19.6 points per game and assists with 6.9 per game. In 21 out of 31 games this season, she had at least 15 points and five assists. She also broke the program record for most assists in a season (212).
After five years of collegiate basketball, Amoore will most likely hear her name called April 14 during the WNBA draft.
She could be the fifth Wildcat to be selected in the draft’s first round. The last Kentucky player to accomplish this feat was Rhyne Howard.
Here are Amoore’s top five games from the 2024-25 season:
Amoore dropped a career-high and tied a school record with a 43-point performance against Oklahoma. She shot 15 for 22 from the field, with seven treys, and dished out eight assists in the Wildcats’ 95-86 victory over the Sooners.
In her first NCAA Tournament game with the Wildcats, Amoore put together a masterpiece. She scored 23 of her 34 points in the first half and finished with eight assists, two steals, and two blocks. She tied the program record for points scored in a tournament game, and threes made (6).
This season, Amoore tied a school record for most games (3) with seven or more made 3-pointers. In January, she recorded her second game with seven treys in a 91-69 victory over conference opponent Mississippi State. She finished 7 for 10 from beyond the arc and dished out nine assists in the win.
Amoore recorded her second double-double of the season, which came in a 21-point and 11 assists performance against Auburn. The Wildcats moved to 15-1 on the season and were 4-0 in conference play after the 80-61 win for the first time since the 2012-2013 season.
The Wildcats beat Louisville for the first time since 2015, snapping a seven-game losing streak against the Cardinals. In the overtime thriller, Amoore played all 45 minutes and scored a game-high 19 points while dishing out nine assists.
