In tonight’s edition, police in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, fired teargas to disperse protesters and detained dozens, who were demonstrating on Monday against what they say is a wave of unexplained abductions of government critics.

Also, election officials in Chad have put the low turnout to the weekend’s general election down to cold weather.
